Software requirements

In this course, the Sprint Leader will demonstrate tasks using Google Suite and JiraWhile we aim to remain software agnostic and encourage participants to use the tools they are most comfortable with, please note that we cannot provide guidance for every software option.

This course is not for complete beginners

You need to be age 18+. This course is not for complete beginners. This Sprint course is designed for graduates, juniors and freelancers with some experience. You should already have some experience in game development projects.

Showcase and game jam

At the end of each Sprint, participants are invited to showcase their work in our virtual exhibition and further hone their skills by participating in a game jam. Both activities are optional.

We are based in the United Kingdom

Our team and colleagues are all based in the United Kingdom, our time zone and case studies will reflect this. However, we welcome participants from all over the world and try to present content that is universal.

Time commitments

This is a 3-week online course, with all live sessions taking place in the evenings from 6pm-8pm BST (UK local time). You can review the activity dates below. Participants can expect to invest about 10-15 hours per week on this course.

Meet your sprint leader

David Jenkins


David Jenkins (he/him) is a seasoned Games Quality expert with over 20 years of experience in various leadership and development roles, including a decade in the games industry at studios such as Roll7, Curve Digital and SEGA. His career primarily focuses on QA, with additional experience as a Release Manager and ad-hoc Producer. David has been instrumental in building award-winning teams and contributing to the creation of award-winning games.

A passionate advocate for accessibility, equity, diversity, and inclusion (ED&I), David is also a dedicated student of UX design. He shares his insights and experiences through his weekly podcast, QAuDHD, where he discusses working in games and living with both autism and ADHD. David's commitment to the gaming community extends beyond his professional work. He serves as a Video Games Ambassador, a Limit Break Mentor, and as an SME for GameQuality.org. Adding a unique touch to his profile, David is also a singer and has leant his voice to the skateboarding themed sea shanty used to promote OlliOlli World's second DLC.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does the course run?

Over the 3-weeks, you will attend 8 live sessions with the Sprint Leader from 6pm to 8pm BST between 7-25th October, you also have 3 peer to peer discussions session in between. Please refer the the course outline for exact dates. A detailed schedule will be sent to all participants closer to the date. 

Is financial Aid or assistance available?

Yes, we have a variety of discounts and sponsored places on our courses. If you are from a low-income background, on universal credit or have been affected by the layoffs please message us directly. Financial Aid is only available for UK residents.

I can't make all the dates - is this still for me?

While we recommend that you try to attend as many of the live and group sessions as possible, we understand that might not be possible. All sessions are recorded for participants, and you have 24-7 access to content and support for the duration of the Sprint. 

Is this for complete beginners?

No. You should have at least 1 years worth of practice within this discipline area (this could include 1 year of a degree, college or personal study time). You can still be at an early stage in your learning path, but you should have a basic portfolio of work. Please email us if you have any queries about this.
